Scholarships

There are many scholarship opportunities available for justice students at 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø.

The first step in the scholarship process is to visit the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø Financial Aid website and begin the paperwork process. The deadline for this is February 15.

Scholarship opportunities within the department

There are various scholarships available to justice students. Please contact the department for more information. 

 

 

Minimum $1,000 per academic year

Purpose: To provide scholarships for sophomore, junior or senior students majoring in justice.

Minimum $1,000 per academic year

Purpose: To provide scholarships for freshman and sophomore students with a demonstrated commitment to public safety at the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø. Students need not be justice majors so long as their interest and commitment to public safety is adequately represented through the essay requirement.

Minimum $1,000 per academic year

Purpose: To provide scholarships for Junior or Senior students majoring in justice at the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø, with the intent to pursue a bachelors or masters degree in justice.

Minimum $1,000 per academic year

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for tuition and other related educational expenses to students attending 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø who have demonstrated interest in the outdoors and with a strong preference for those who are also majoring or minoring in justice or homeland security and emergency management.

Minimum $1,000 per academic year

Purpose: To provide awards for students of Junior or Senior class standing who are majoring in Justice at the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø, with the intent to pursue a bachelors or masters degree in justice.

Minimum $500 per semester

Purpose: To provide scholarships to Alaskan high school students who are enrolled in justice courses offered by the College of Liberal Arts at the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø. If eligible high school students cannot be found, then the scholarship may be awarded to an eligible enrolled justice major at the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø.

Minimum $500 per academic year

Purpose: To provide scholarships for students pursuing careers in health science, science education or science reporting. Appropriate majors include emergency services, justice, journalism, biology, nursing, chemistry and education.
