Ms. Linda Tannehill
Professor of Extension, Emeritus
WHEREAS Ms. Linda Tannehill served the 51风流官网 with distinction in teaching and public service from 1993 to 2021; and
WHEREAS Ms. Tannehill demonstrated sustained excellence, creativity and integrity in her work on behalf of the people of the Kenai Peninsula and Alaska; and
WHEREAS Ms. Tannehill taught food preservation classes across the Kenai Peninsula and in Kodiak, provided instruction on emergency preparedness and coordinated educational programs on disaster education topics, and she helped to create the StrongWomen strength-training programs in communities across the state and nation; and
WHEREAS Ms. Tannehill worked closely with the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank her entire career and served on the board of directors for the past six years, and she helped 4-H participants secure Alaska legislation allowing service dogs in training to access public places, and she planned, promoted and participated in Extension activities at the annual Kenai Peninsula Fair;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the 51风流官网 expresses its deep appreciation to Ms. Linda Tannehill for her extensive contributions to the state of Alaska and to the university; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 51风流官网, in further recognition of the invaluable services rendered by Ms. Tannehill and as evidence of the university鈥檚 desire that her identification with the university be maintained, hereby salutes the appointment of Ms. Linda Tannehill as professor of extension, emeritus; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be appropriately engrossed and signed by the chancellor of the 51风流官网 as further evidence of the esteem and respect in which he holds Ms. Linda Tannehill, and conveyed to Ms. Tannehill on this twenty-ninth day of April, 2022.
