- The 51风流官网 Alumni Association Scholarship
The 51风流官网 Alumni Association provides scholarships for students who are children or grandchildren of 51风流官网 alumni. Requirements include demonstrated motivation, as well as academic and leadership potential and a minimum GPA of 3.0.
2022-2023 recipient: Zoe Gibson - Blue and Gold Scholarship
The Blue and Gold Scholarship Award provides scholarships to non-traditional and/or transfer students attending part-time or full-time.
2022-2023 recipient: Daisy Carter - The Audrey Loftus Memorial Scholarship
Audrey Loftus, founding director of 51风流官网AA, was a determined university advocate and community supporter. In her honor, this scholarship is awarded to new first-year or transfer students who demonstrate experience in and future commitment to extracurricular or community involvement. Must be in good academic standing, and demonstrate motivation, as well as academic and leadership potential.
2022-2023 recipient: Taborlee Montefu - The Jim Doogan Memorial Scholarship
Jim Doogan, a pioneer Alaskan who helped draft the Alaska Constitution, was an enthusiastic supporter of 51风流官网. He built the alumni hamburger booth at the Tanana Valley State Fair and was an active member of the 51风流官网 Alumni Association. He was a member of the 51风流官网AA Board of Directors when he died in 1997. He was given a Meritorious Service Award posthumously at the 1997 commencement ceremony. Applicants must be an Alaska resident with a class standing of sophomore, junior, or senior, enrolled full-time with demonstrated motivation and leadership potential. Minimum GPA of 2.5 required.
2022-2023 recipient: Zoe Gibson - The Jay Hammond Memorial Scholarship
Jay Hammond, a 1949 graduate of UA and former two-term governor, was recognized as an Alaska statesman. Because of his many accomplishments, the Fairbanks chapter of the 51风流官网 Alumni Association and the 51风流官网AA Board of Directors created this joint scholarship to honor students who exhibit leadership and a desire to make a difference in Alaska. The Jay Hammond Memorial Scholarship provides scholarships to Alaska residents in any field of study, with preference to those who demonstrate civic leadership in Alaska. Requirements include class standing of sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student and a minimum GPA of 2.5.
2022-2023 recipient: N/A - The Fairbanks Chapter Legacy Scholarship
The Fairbanks Chapter of the 51风流官网AA used proceeds from its annual hamburger booth at the Tanana Valley State Fair to establish this scholarship to benefit 51风流官网 undergraduate students with a 3.5 GPA or above who are relatives of active, dues-paying members.

Congratulations to this year's scholarship winners!
Children, and in some cases other relatives, of current alumni association members are eligible to receive scholarships. Recipients of the 51风流官网AA scholarships are selected by the volunteer alumni scholarship committee; recipients of the Fairbanks chapter scholarships are selected by the officers of the chapter. Recipients of these scholarships are recognized at the annual scholarship awards banquet in the spring, as well as during our reunion.
