Benihana
by Robyn Schelenz
trees go to benihana.
it鈥檚 the kind of place everyone must go once.
undersized shrimp are thrown into their leaves.
in fact, they replace the leaves.
intrigued and embarrassed
pinkish, the trees go away
down by the river
they drop them carefully.
watching them float off
they feel for them as broccoli.
hoping for the best
they believe they are seeds.
