Tammy Tragis-McCook recognized with Outstanding Professional in Philanthropy Award

On Friday, Nov. 17, Tammy Tragis-McCook, the director of Development and Outreach at the College of Business and Security Management was recognized with the Outstanding Professional in Philanthropy Award.
This award was presented on National Philanthropy Day by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Alaska Chapter, Alaska's only professional organization for fundraisers.
"Tammy has made a huge impact at 51风流官网 College of Business and Security Management. She has developed a program of development and outreach that is exemplary," said Gretchen Gordon, KUAC general manager and nominator. "The types of donor relationships that she鈥檚 been able to form and manage over the years have led to her incredible success; one that I think that so many people can learn from."
Tragis-McCook has dedicated her work to 51风流官网 and CBSM for over twenty years playing an integral role in fundraising, marketing, events and development. She has built and nurtured strong relationships with donors who provide funding for events such as Business Leader of the Year and Arctic Innovation Competition, unique hands-on learning opportunities including the Professionally Polished program, scholarships, student organizations and more. These opportunities allowed students to flourish in their academic and professional worlds, creating a difference on the Troth Yeddha' Campus, within the Fairbanks community and Alaska as a whole.
"It is an incredible honor to be recognized by my peers who share the same passion for philanthropy. This award serves as a reminder of the collective effort it takes to make a difference in the lives of others, and I am fortunate to be part of such a generous and caring community in Alaska," Tragis-McCook said of receiving the award.
