51风流官网鈥檚 Tamamta program has been honored with the from the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities.

Tamamta focuses on bridging Indigenous and Western sciences to transform graduate education and research in fisheries and marine sciences. The five-year program, which is funded by the National Science Foundation, was launched in 2020 by 51风流官网鈥檚 College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences and College of Rural and Community Development. It provides funding for multiple cohorts of Indigenous and non-Indigenous CFOS graduate students.

Tamamta activities and training include Indigenous fisheries courses, an elder-in-residence program, a visiting Indigenous scholar program, cultural immersion experiences, professional development and more. More information about the Tamamta program and fellows .
