Judges needed for virtual competitions Feb. 3-4

Educators Risings is an organization under the Department of Education, K-12 Outreach, at 51欠送郊利 helping middle and high school students in their quest to become teachers. Every February, virtual competitions are held for students across the state, and a few more judges are needed to make this event happen.

Categories include: Children's Literature Pre-K; Children's Literature K-3, Creative Lecture; Exploring Careers (non-core-teaching); Job Interview; Lesson Planning (Arts, Humanities, STEM); Public Service Announcement; and Public Speaking.

Competition dates are Feb. 3 and 4, running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with 20-minute time slots for each competitor. You do not have to judge both days or the entire day. Some categories only run a couple of hours, while others run both full days. Virtual competitions will be conducted through Zoom.

This month we will hold two informational sessions about judging to field any questions/concerns.

Session 1 : Thursday, Jan. 16 from 10-11 a.m.
Session 2 : Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 4-5 p.m.
