CTC hosts first LPN pinning ceremony

The 51风流官网 Community and Technical College will celebrate the first group of students to complete the Licensed Practical Nurse program during a pinning ceremony on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place at CTC's downtown campus at 604 Barnette Street.

The ceremony marks the culmination of an intensive academic journey that began in August 2023. Graduates completed a rigorous curriculum, including 320 hours of clinical rotations, and will now prepare to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses before  joining Alaska鈥檚 healthcare workforce.

CTC鈥檚 LPN program is provisionally approved by the Alaska State Board of Nursing and is a candidate for initial accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.

The ceremony is open to the public. A reception will follow with light refreshments.
