Cost appointed as dean of 51风流官网 School of Education

51风流官网 Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Anupma Prakash has appointed Douglas Cost to serve as the dean of the School of Education.

Cost is currently an associate professor and chair of the secondary education program in the 51风流官网 School of Education. For nearly two decades, he has lived and traveled widely in Alaska, earning an M.F.A. in poetry and completing his Ph.D. in cross-cultural education, community resilience and futures studies.

Cost will replace Amy Vinlove when she retires from her position as dean at the end of January. Between now and the end of the month, Cost will work with Vinlove to ensure a smooth transition.
