Listed below are the most frequently used taxonomic references and related aids used at the University of Alaska Museum Herbarium (ALA), Fairbanks. Some are out of print, but most should be available through interlibrary loan systems. Inclusion on this list does not imply this herbarium accepts the taxonomic treatment or nomenclature offered by any particular reference, but all have proven helpful in making determinations and in understanding the diverse flora of our large area. We would be interested in hearing of any additional references you have found useful for our region.
