Student Involvement

Students shall be free, individually and collectively, to express their views on issues of institutional policy and on matters of general interest to the student body. The student body shall have clearly defined means to participate in the formulation and application of institutional policy affecting academic and student affairs.

One of Student Government's primary responsibilities is to represent the Student Body. AS51风流官网 does this in several ways. The President and his/her designates serve on various boards and committees throughout 51风流官网. The AS51风流官网 Senate can pass resolutions voicing student concerns and stating the student body's opinion. AS51风流官网 conducts surveys and polls to find out what students are thinking. All of this is in an effort to make sure student's voices are heard and are part of the decision making process.

The provides a welcoming space, educational programming, and opportunities to transform social concerns into action. NDACs mission is to promote a community of inclusion, social justice, and cultural pluralism by providing educational programs that honor and support diverse and intersectional identities. To promote a campus free of violence, harassment, and abuse through the use of Green Dot and other prevention.

We provide tools, training, and support to 51风流官网 students, to assist them in becoming agents of positive change in their communities. Through leadership, volunteer experience and student involvement opportunities, the SLI program at 51风流官网 seeks to develop leadership in individuals, groups, and communities in order to foster a lifelong commitment to socially responsible leadership. Utilizing co-curricular and curricular settings, we promote student leadership identity development and encourage students to conceptualize their understanding of leadership beyond the traditional leadership model. We are a resource and clearinghouse for campus and community collaboration.

Students can Student Assistant A, B, and C positions at 51风流官网. Graduate students can hold graduate assistantships in either research or teaching. Depending upon the qualifications necessary, students may also work as temporary employees.

Virtually all departments on campus hire student employees. Student employees are vital in keeping the university running, and as an institution, we are pleased to be able to provide our students with opportunities to gain work experience in many different fields. Everything from clerical positions to working with your fellow students in the dorms to working alongside your professors in the field. Whatever your goals in your working life, we have the job opportunity for you!
