The 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø Art Department and the Student Ceramics Art Guild is proud to host ceramic artist Sarah Beaty for two days of hands-on demonstrations and an evening lecture. Hosted by the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø Student Ceramics Art Guild, this exciting event will take place on Wednesday, October 23rd, and Thursday, October 24th, 2024.
Sarah Beaty, an accomplished ceramic artist based in Fort Yukon, Alaska, will offer demonstrations of her unique techniques in high-fire porcelain and stoneware. She specializes in the Phoenix fast-fire style wood kiln, a technique she practices just north of the Arctic Circle. Beaty has exhibited her work in renowned museums and galleries, including the Alaska State Museum and the University of Iowa Museum of Art. Her expertise spans over two decades, with experiences as an artist, lecturer, and instructor in Alaska, Iowa, and France.
