Geologic Hydrogen Workshop outcomes discussed

Outcomes of the Oct. 29-31 on the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø campus were presented at the Alaska Hydrogen Working Group meeting in early November. U.S. Arctic Research Commissioner Mark Myers was the presenter.
Discussions at the three-day workshop focused on current geological hydrogen research and what is needed to develop a sustainable research effort to assess Alaska's geological hydrogen potential. Other topics included the utility, economics, storage and transportation of hydrogen as well as the policy and regulation needed for research, exploration and development.
The workshop was sponsored by the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø Geophysical Institute, the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø Vice Chancellor for Research, USARC and the U.S. Department of State.
